This years Aachen Colloquium on sustainable mobility took place from October 9th to 11th,2023. Aachen Colloquium 2023 did not only offer an exhibition showcasing the most urgent and relevant topics on sustainable mobility, but the program also consisted of multiple keynotes by industry experts focusing on the latest developments and possible future trends.
Marco Koch, Senior Consultant at Roland Berger, has given a presentation on the Lithium-ion battery market and emerging battery technologies. While the global battery demand is expected to rise to approx. 4.9 TWh until 2030, the question will be which cathode and anode battery chemistries will be used to meet the specific requirements of all the different applications from battery electric vehicles to energy storage systems and electric aviation.
