Smart City Strategy Index: Vienna and London leading in worldwide ranking

In this 2019 edition of Roland Berger’s Smart City Index, we find two European cities, Vienna and London on top of the ranking. On average, however, it’s mainly Asian metropolises that demonstrate the most compelling Smart City strategies. General key findings are that there is still a lack of integration in strategy, and that central decision-making entities and pilot projects are a key-success factor for going from planning to implementing.
