Why are companies’ self-reported emissions uncomparable?
Carbometrix helps companies assess their carbon performance. In this article, we will compare our data on several automakers with data they reported in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). CDP is a highly recognized initiative to assess companies’ environmental impact. Companies can be referenced in CDP’s dataset by answering a questionnaire and disclosing via the CDP their carbon footprint, as well as their impact on water and forests.
